How to Create a Manual Booking
Learn how to add an offline or direct reservation to Homeyhuts so the dates are blocked correctly and your property stays available only when it should be.
A manual booking is useful when you receive a reservation outside a connected OTA, such as a direct booking, phone booking, walk-in booking, WhatsApp enquiry or another offline source.
Adding the booking to Homeyhuts is important because an offline reservation still occupies your property. If you do not record it, the same dates may remain available on your connected OTAs and another guest could book them.
- Before creating a manual booking:
- Confirm the property and room/inventory being booked.
- Confirm the guest's check-in and check-out dates.
- Confirm the number of guests.
- Check that the dates are available.
- Keep the guest's contact information and any other required booking details ready.
How to create a manual booking:
1. Log in to your Homeyhuts account.
2. Open the relevant booking or reservation section.
3. Select the option to add/create a manual booking.
4. Select the property and relevant room or inventory.
5. Enter the guest details.
6. Enter the check-in and check-out dates.
7. Add the number of guests and other relevant booking information.
8. Enter the booking amount or other required details, where applicable.
9. Review all information carefully.
10. Save the booking.
After saving:
Check the Unified Calendar to confirm that the booked dates are blocked correctly. If the property is connected to OTAs through the Channel Manager, also verify that the availability update has been reflected on the connected channels.
Example:
A guest calls you directly and confirms a three-night stay. Instead of leaving those dates open on Airbnb, Booking.com or other connected channels, create a manual booking in Homeyhuts. The dates can then be treated as occupied inventory.
Tip: Add offline bookings as soon as they are confirmed. Delaying the update is one of the easiest ways to create an accidental double booking.
