Understanding OTA Connections in Homeyhuts

1 min readUpdated 14 Oct 2026Reviewed by Homeyhuts Editorial Team

When you connect your property to Homeyhuts, you are linking your Homeyhuts property with the corresponding listing on a booking platform. This allows Homeyhuts and the connected platform to exchange supported booking, availability and pricing information.

What does connecting mean?

For example, if you already have a property listed on Airbnb, you can connect that Airbnb listing with the matching property in Homeyhuts.

Once the connection is active, Homeyhuts can manage supported information between the two.

What happens after connecting?

Depending on the platform, you may be able to manage:

  • Bookings
  • Availability
  • Prices
  • Blocked dates
  • Other supported information

Do you still keep your OTA account?

Yes.

Your Airbnb, Booking.com, MakeMyTrip or other booking-platform account remains yours.

Connecting it to Homeyhuts simply gives you a central place to manage the information that needs to stay updated.

Before you connect

Make sure:

  • You are connecting the correct property.
  • The listing details are accurate.
  • Your existing bookings are correctly reflected.
  • Your availability is up to date.
  • You understand what will change after connection.

Important for multi-unit properties

If you manage multiple rooms or units under one property, the listing structure needs to be set up correctly across your booking platforms for features such as Magic Cluster to work properly.

For example, if you want to coordinate individual rooms, those individual room listings need to exist on the relevant platforms in a matching structure.

If you are unsure about your setup, contact Homeyhuts before completing the connection.
