Homeyhuts Payouts: How They Work

1 min readUpdated 14 Oct 2026Reviewed by Homeyhuts Editorial Team

Understand the basics of Homeyhuts payouts, what affects your payout amount and how to reconcile booking revenue.

A booking amount and the final amount you receive are not always the same. Your payout can depend on the booking source, applicable commission or service fees, taxes, discounts, refunds, cancellations and the payout terms associated with the relevant channel.

When reviewing a payout, consider:

• Gross booking value.

• Discounts or promotions applied to the reservation.

• OTA commission, where applicable.

• Homeyhuts fees or commission, depending on your plan or booking source.

• Taxes and other applicable charges.

• Cancellation or refund adjustments.

• Any other deductions shown in the relevant payout statement.

How to reconcile a booking:

1. Open the reservation and note the booking value.

2. Identify the booking source.

3. Review any discounts or promotions.

4. Check the applicable commission or fee structure.

5. Review the payout amount received or expected.

6. Compare the figures with the relevant OTA or payment statement.

7. Investigate any difference that cannot be explained by the applicable fees, taxes, discounts or adjustments.

Example:

A guest may pay a higher gross amount than the amount ultimately received by the host because the booking channel may deduct commission, taxes, discounts or other applicable charges before payout.

Important:

The exact payout calculation depends on the booking source and your applicable commercial terms. For OTA bookings, the OTA may calculate and remit the payout according to its own payment and commission model.

Tip: Do not evaluate your pricing only from the guest's gross booking amount. Track your net payout so you know what you actually earn after applicable deductions.
