Unified Calendar - Cluster Desync Feature
Learn how the Cluster Desync feature can help when you need to temporarily separate a property from its Magic Cluster availability relationship. Magic Cluster connects Parent and Child Listings that share physical inventory. Normally, changes in one listing can affect the availability of related listings. There may be situations where you need to temporarily desynchronize a listing from the cluster while making a specific operational change.
When Could Desync Be Useful?
A desync feature may be useful when:
- You are troubleshooting an availability mismatch.
- A listing requires a temporary manual correction.
- You need to investigate a cluster relationship.
- You are making a controlled change to one inventory configuration.
Before Using Desync
Make sure you understand which listings share the same physical inventory. Temporarily separating a listing from the cluster can affect the normal availability relationship.
How to Handle a Desync Situation
- Open the Unified Calendar.
- Identify the affected cluster or listing.
- Review the Parent and Child Listings.
- Check which dates or inventory are out of sync.
- Use the Cluster Desync option only when required.
- Make the necessary correction.
- Verify availability across the related listings.
- Restore the normal cluster relationship when the issue has been resolved, where applicable.
Important
Desync should not be used as a routine method for managing daily availability. The purpose is to help handle specific cluster-sync situations without accidentally creating conflicting inventory.
Tip
Before desyncing anything, identify the physical inventory affected and document the dates being corrected. This makes it easier to verify the cluster after the correction.
