How to Reopen Blocked Dates

1 min readUpdated 14 Oct 2026Reviewed by Homeyhuts Editorial Team

Learn how to reopen dates that were previously blocked and make them available for booking again from the Homeyhuts Unified Calendar. Dates may be blocked because of owner stays, maintenance, offline bookings, personal use or other reasons. Once the dates are available again, you can reopen them so guests can book the property.

How to Reopen a Date

  1. Open the Homeyhuts Host Control Centre.
  2. Go to the Unified Calendar.
  3. Find the relevant property.
  4. Locate the blocked date or date range.
  5. Select the blocked dates.
  6. Choose the option to reopen or unblock the availability.
  7. Review the dates before saving the change.
  8. Save the update.

What Happens After Reopening?

If the property is connected to the Homeyhuts Channel Manager, the updated availability can be synchronized with connected OTAs.

Before reopening dates, make sure there is no existing offline booking, owner stay, maintenance requirement or other reason the dates should remain unavailable.

Example

If you blocked 10–12 November for personal use but the plan changes, you can reopen those dates. Once the availability is updated and synced, guests can book them subject to your other booking restrictions.

Tip

Always verify the dates after reopening. Accidentally reopening a date that is already occupied or reserved elsewhere can create an availability conflict.
