What to Do After Your Property Goes Live
Learn what to monitor after publishing your property and how to identify issues before they affect bookings or guest experience.
Going live is the beginning of the hosting process, not the end. The first few weeks are important because they reveal whether your listing, pricing and operations are working as expected.
Immediately after launch:
1. Check that the listing is visible where it should be.
2. Review photographs and description from a guest's perspective.
3. Confirm pricing and availability.
4. Verify OTA connections if applicable.
5. Check that bookings can be received correctly.
6. Confirm the property team is ready for enquiries and arrivals.
- During the first few weeks, monitor:
- Views and enquiries.
- Booking conversion.
- Occupancy.
- Pricing compared with similar properties.
- Guest questions.
- Cancellations.
- Reviews and feedback.
- Calendar synchronization.
If guests repeatedly ask the same question, consider whether the listing needs clearer information.
Example:
If multiple guests ask whether parking is available, add clear parking information to the listing instead of answering the same question repeatedly.
Tip: Treat the first few weeks as a learning period. Make controlled improvements rather than changing everything at once.
