How to Write a Property Description That Converts
Learn how to write a clear, guest-focused property description that highlights the reasons a guest should choose your property.
A strong description does not simply list features. It explains what makes the stay useful, comfortable or memorable for the type of guest you want to attract.
- Start with the strongest selling points:
- Location and accessibility.
- View or surroundings.
- Property style.
- Unique spaces.
- Best amenities.
- Ideal guest type.
- Nearby attractions.
A useful structure:
1. Opening: Describe the property in one or two compelling sentences.
2. Experience: Explain what staying there feels like.
3. Accommodation: Describe bedrooms, bathrooms and common spaces.
4. Amenities: Highlight important facilities.
5. Location: Explain what guests can access nearby.
6. Practical information: Mention relevant limitations, rules or access information.
Write clearly:
Instead of: “Beautiful premium property with amazing amenities.”
Try: “A spacious hillside villa with three bedrooms, a private outdoor area and views of the surrounding valley, ideal for families and small groups.”
- Avoid:
- Exaggerated claims.
- Information that is not currently available.
- Long blocks of repetitive text.
- Hidden restrictions.
- Promising experiences you cannot guarantee.
Tip: Write for your target guest, not for yourself. Ask: Why would someone choose this property instead of another one in the same area?
