How to Decide What to Offer Guests

1 min readUpdated 14 Oct 2026Reviewed by Homeyhuts Editorial Team

Learn how to define your property's stay experience, inclusions, amenities and services before publishing your listing.

Guests book an experience, not just a room. Before going live, decide exactly what is included in the stay and communicate it clearly.

  • Start with the basics:
  • Accommodation type.
  • Number of guests allowed.
  • Sleeping arrangements.
  • Bathroom facilities.
  • Kitchen or meal facilities.
  • Wi-Fi.
  • Parking.
  • Air conditioning or heating.
  • Outdoor/common areas.
  • Then decide which additional services you want to offer, such as:
  • Breakfast.
  • Housekeeping.
  • Transfers.
  • Activities.
  • Bonfire or barbecue arrangements.
  • Extra beds.
  • Pet-friendly facilities.

Be clear about what is included in the displayed price and what costs extra.

Example:

If breakfast is available for an additional charge, do not describe the property as including breakfast. Clear communication prevents disappointed guests and negative reviews.

Tip: Only promise what you can deliver consistently. An accurate listing generally creates a better guest experience than an exaggerated one.
