Managing Multiple Rooms in One Property

1 min readUpdated 15 Oct 2026Reviewed by Homeyhuts Editorial Team

Learn how to manage a property with multiple bookable rooms while keeping room availability, pricing and operations organised.

A property with multiple rooms requires clear inventory management. Each room may have different availability, pricing, capacity and amenities.

  • For every room, maintain:
  • Room name.
  • Maximum occupancy.
  • Bed configuration.
  • Amenities.
  • Base pricing.
  • Availability.
  • Housekeeping status.
  • OTA mapping where applicable.

When a booking arrives, confirm exactly which room or inventory has been booked.

For operations:

1. Keep a room-level housekeeping checklist.

2. Track room-specific maintenance.

3. Maintain separate linen or supply requirements where needed.

4. Ensure each room is mapped to the correct OTA inventory.

5. Review the Unified Calendar regularly.

Example:

If a property has four independently bookable rooms, a booking for Room 2 should not accidentally block Room 3 unless the property's inventory rules require it.

Tip: Use consistent room names across Homeyhuts and connected channels wherever possible to reduce mapping confusion.
