How to Deactivate a Property
Learn how to temporarily or permanently stop a property from being actively sold through the relevant Homeyhuts listing flow.
Deactivation may be appropriate when a property is temporarily unavailable, undergoing maintenance, changing ownership/management or should no longer accept new bookings.
- Before deactivating:
- Review upcoming bookings.
- Check active OTA connections.
- Confirm whether existing reservations need to remain active.
- Check whether dates should be blocked separately.
- Understand the effect on connected channels.
Recommended process:
1. Open the relevant property settings.
2. Select the available deactivation option.
3. Confirm the action.
4. Review the property status.
5. Check connected channel availability if applicable.
6. Verify that future inventory is not unintentionally left open.
Important:
Deactivating a listing does not automatically resolve existing reservations. Review upcoming stays and honour or appropriately manage confirmed bookings.
Tip: If the property is unavailable only for certain dates, blocking those dates may be more appropriate than deactivating the entire property.
