Daily, Weekly & Monthly Host Tasks
Use a practical schedule to separate everyday hosting tasks from periodic operational reviews.
Not every hosting task needs to be performed every day. Dividing responsibilities by frequency prevents important maintenance and financial tasks from being forgotten.
Daily:
- Check new bookings and cancellations.
- Review upcoming check-ins and check-outs.
- Confirm property readiness for arriving guests.
- Respond to important guest messages.
- Check for urgent maintenance issues.
- Review calendar availability.
Weekly:
- Inspect the property.
- Review consumable stock.
- Check housekeeping quality.
- Review upcoming occupancy.
- Review pricing and low-demand dates.
- Check pending maintenance.
- Review staff schedules.
Monthly:
- Review revenue and expenses.
- Review occupancy and booking sources.
- Inspect equipment and larger maintenance items.
- Review listing content and photographs.
- Review recurring supplier/staff costs.
- Evaluate the property's overall performance.
Tip: Keep one master checklist and assign each task to a person rather than assuming someone will handle it.
