How to Manage Maximum Night Stay Rules
Learn how to set maximum night stay rules in Homeyhuts and control how long guests can reserve your property for selected dates. Maximum Night Stay defines the maximum number of nights that can be booked. In Homeyhuts, a value of 0 means no maximum stay restriction, while a value greater than 0 limits the maximum number of nights.
How to Manage Maximum Night Stay
1. Open the **Host Control Centre**.
2. Go to **Calendar**.
3. Select the relevant property.
4. Open **Channel Settings**.
5. Go to the settings applicable to **All OTAs**.
6. Select the dates or period you want to update.
7. Enable the **Maximum Night Stay** setting.
8. Enter the maximum number of nights.
9. Click **Update**.
Review the selected dates after saving to make sure the restriction is applied as intended.
Example
If you set a maximum stay of 5 nights, a guest can book up to 5 nights for the applicable dates, but a booking request exceeding that limit will not qualify.
When Should You Change It?
Consider a maximum stay during high-demand periods when you want to avoid one long reservation occupying a large block of dates. During low season, consider whether allowing longer stays could help improve occupancy.
Tip
Do not confuse maximum stay with availability. A date may be available but still not bookable for a particular stay if the requested number of nights exceeds your maximum-stay rule.
