What Happens When You Update Availability in Homeyhuts?

1 min readUpdated 14 Oct 2026Reviewed by Homeyhuts Editorial Team

Learn what happens when you change your property's availability from the Homeyhuts Unified Calendar and how those changes are reflected across connected booking platforms. Homeyhuts Unified Calendar lets you manage bookings, pricing and availability from one centralized calendar. Availability changes can be used to block dates, add owner stays, manage offline bookings, or reopen dates.

How to Update Availability

1. Open the **Homeyhuts Host Control Centre**.

2. Go to **Calendar**.

3. Select the relevant property.

4. Select the date or date range you want to update.

5. Choose the appropriate availability action, such as blocking or unblocking dates.

6. Add any required details or notes.

7. Save the change.

What Happens After You Save?

If the property is connected to the Homeyhuts Channel Manager, the updated availability is synced with your connected OTAs. This helps keep your inventory aligned across booking channels and reduces the risk of double bookings. Homeyhuts states that availability updates are synchronized in real time across connected channels.

For example, if you block a date in Homeyhuts for maintenance, that date can be closed on your connected OTAs as well.

Similarly, when a booking is added through an OTA, Homeyhuts updates availability across the other connected channels.

After Updating Availability

Review the Homeyhuts calendar to confirm the dates show the expected status. If necessary, use the calendar refresh option to fetch the latest OTA reservations, availability and pricing.

Important

Once your property is connected, Homeyhuts recommends managing connected rates and availability through the Homeyhuts Channel Manager rather than making conflicting manual changes directly on OTA extranets.

Tip

Before blocking or reopening dates, check existing bookings and restrictions for the same period. This helps you avoid accidentally creating availability conflicts.
