What Is Magic Cluster and When Should You Use It?

Learn what Magic Cluster is, how it connects multiple listings of the same property, and when you should use it to sell rooms, room combinations and the entire property without creating conflicting bookings. Magic Cluster is designed for properties that are being sold in more than one configuration. For example, a 5-bedroom villa can be listed as individual rooms, combinations of rooms, and the entire villa. Magic Cluster connects these related listings so that a booking or availability change in one configuration is reflected in the other connected configurations.

How Magic Cluster Works

Magic Cluster uses a Parent Listing and Child Listings.

The Parent Listing normally represents the entire property, while the Child Listings represent individual rooms, units or room combinations.

For example:

  • Parent: Entire 5-bedroom villa.
  • Child: Bedroom 1.
  • Child: Bedroom 2.
  • Child: Bedrooms 3 + 4.
  • Child: Bedroom 5.

When a child listing is booked, the parent and other conflicting configurations are updated so the same inventory is not sold again.

When the entire property is booked, the individual room listings are closed for those dates.

When Should You Use Magic Cluster?

Magic Cluster is useful when:

  • You sell individual rooms within the same property.
  • You sell the entire property as a separate listing.
  • You sell combinations of rooms.
  • The same physical inventory appears in multiple listings.
  • You want to reduce manual calendar blocking.

Magic Cluster is not intended for unrelated properties that simply belong to the same owner.

Tip

Only cluster listings that represent the same physical inventory. A correct cluster structure is essential for the availability sync to work correctly.
