How Does Availability Work in a Magic Cluster?
Learn how availability changes between the Parent and Child Listings in a Magic Cluster and how Homeyhuts keeps different selling configurations synchronized. Magic Cluster links listings that share the same physical inventory. The system uses the relationship between the listings to update availability when bookings or blocks occur.
Example: Room Booking
Suppose a 5-bedroom villa is listed as an entire villa and as individual rooms.
If Room 2 is booked for 12–14 October:
- Room 2 becomes unavailable.
- The entire-property listing is updated because the complete villa can no longer be sold for those dates.
- Other room listings that do not conflict with the booking can remain available.
Example: Entire Property Booking
If the Entire Villa is booked for 12–14 October:
- The entire property is booked.
- All individual room listings are closed for the same dates.
- The rooms cannot be separately booked for that period.
This relationship allows the property to be sold in different configurations while keeping the inventory connected.
Manual Blocks
Manual availability blocks are also synchronized across the connected listings where the cluster relationship requires it.
Tip
Always think in terms of physical inventory. Ask: “If this listing is booked, which other listings would use the same room or space?” Those are the listings that need to be correctly connected.
