Tranquil Stay Near House with Garden Or Backyard — India

Experience the soul of an aristocratic Kerala estate, family-owned since the 1920s. Anchored by a grand Tharavadu built by our ancestor M.R. Raman, the property blends traditional architecture with Japanese Majolica tiles, cast iron grills, and open balconies inspired by his time in Ceylon. This storied location is immortalized in 60+ films. We invite you to stay in our heritage guest wing and travel back in time. Book all 6 rooms to be the only guests at the property.

The Space

The rooms on offer are part of our heritage guest house, designed to immerse you in the atmosphere of a traditional aristocratic home. While the structure retains the soul of the early 1900s-featuring wooden ceilings, brass-studded doors, and cool terracotta floors-the interiors have been thoughtfully updated to include modern amenities.

You will enjoy the comfort of air-conditioning and spacious, contemporary ensuite bathrooms with glass-partitioned rain showers and even an open shower. These updates were made without compromising the vintage aesthetic, ensuring you experience the best of both worlds: the charm of the past and the comforts of the present.

Guest Access

Each room opens onto a private balcony overlooking the central courtyard. Guests are welcome to relax in the courtyard, the dining-cum-living area, and the lush grounds surrounding the guest house.

We invite you to explore the estate's agricultural roots. You can visit the vegetable garden, which is lovingly maintained by the local community. In a separate section of the property, you can also view the innovative horticulture plots managed by Nimal, an award-winning young farmer.

Guests also have access to the garden and the exterior of the main 1939 building to soak in the cinematic history.

Guest Interaction

I will be available to interact with guests if I am around. Do let me know if you would like to discuss about the history of the house, your temple trip and/or just about anything else
